Patient Involvement In The NHS
Patient involvement is a priority for the Southwark Primary Care Trust.
Patients and the public now have many opportunities to get involved with their local health services and influence future provision.
- Talk to a member of Patient Advice and Liason Service (PALS) about your views and concerns regarding local health services. Call the Southwark PCT PALS Helpline on 0800 587 7170 or email pals@southwarkpct.nhs.uk.
- Sign up to the Southwark Public Involvement database – Contact the PPI Team by phone, email or post as detailed below.
- Participate in the annual patient surveys - your views really count.
- Attend a Primary Care Trust Board meeting - to find out more click here to visit the Primary Care Trust website.
- Join a Patient or User group at your local hospital or GP practice. If your practice doesn’t currently hold patient groups, let them know that you would be interested.
- Join the Southwark LINks (Local Involvement Network), which has recently replaced the Public and Patient Involvement Forum. For further information please contact Cambridge House on 020 7358 7000 or email info@ch1889.org
- Join a Readers Panel to improve the information given to patients.
- Become a volunteer at your local hospital.
- Complete a comments card with your compliments or concerns.
