Environment Forum

The Environment Forum was set up in May 2003 to bring together statutory, voluntary and community organisations with an interest in and concern for environmental issues.

The aims of the Forum are:

We want to promote a sustainable and quality local environment for Southwark that addresses:

The air we breathe
The streets we walk
The homes we live in
The open spaces we use
The way we get about
How we maximise the use of our resources
How we conserve our resources

The Forum meets every two months, and is chaired by Cllr. Lisa Rajan. Membership is open to Southwark groups and individuals with an interest in the local and London-wide environment. Its aim is to influence the policies and practice of the Council and other agencies.
