Safer Southwark Partnership
The Safer Southwark Partnership (SSP) is Southwark’s combined statutory crime and disorder reduction partnership (CDRP) and drug and alcohol action team (DAAT).
The SSP brings together a range of statutory and voluntary sector services to work together to reduce crime, fear of crime, anti social behaviour and substance misuse in the borough.
The overall decision making body of the partnership is the SSP board which meets at least four times a year. The board oversees the work of its strategic groups, which focus on priority issues:
- Violent crime
- Drug and alcohol misuse
- Youth crime
- Adult re-offending
- Anti social behaviour
- Victims and witnesses
In the past all CDRPs in England and Wales have been required to produce a three year strategy. The Police and Justice Act 2006 brought in a new statutory framework for CSRPs which requires us to:,
- Prroduce an annual strategic assessment
- Produce a three year rolling plan setting out the partnership priorities and actions to deliver those priorities
- Meet the minimum standards for a CDRP as set out in the Home Office guidance
Key documents about the work of the partnership are:
